Due to a surge of new cases during the pandemic Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak has announced the closing of all bars. If the bar is an area in a restaurant the bar must close although the restaurant part can remain open.
This return to phase one to battle the virus was expected although a lot of visitors to Las Vegas will not be happy. For the last few days in Las Vegas there has been rumors that the casino resorts might have to close completely at least that is not the case.
The bars especially the lounges and casino bars have been busy with the nightclubs and shows closed. The bar’s get big crowds close together so the closure makes sense but is bad news for bars and their employees.
The cut off for bars is midnight tonight so I’m sure people will be drinking at bars right up to the last minute. After that I’m sure Lee’s Liquor, CVS, Walgreens and, all the supermarkets as well as liquor stores will be doing brisk business.
