Las Vegas Ambassador Gets The Axe

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has announced they have canceled their contract with former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman as the official city ambassador.

The former mayor was paid $72,000 in the role of promoting Las Vegas as a destination to visit. In the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic forcing most of Las Vegas to shut down the change makes sense.

The former mayor can often be found at his namesake restaurant at the Plaza which I would expect to continue after things get back to more normal times.
